WORLD-CLASS TRAINING FOR B.C.鈥橲 WATERFRONT WORKFORCE
The Waterfront Training Centre (WTC) provides comprehensive training for longshore workers, ensuring safety and efficiency in port operations. The WTC is an award-winning facility where workers can practice on real, full-scale equipment in a safe learning environment before working at active terminal sites. With state-of-the-art equipment, modern simulators and experienced ILWU instructors, it supports the continuous training and upskilling of B.C.鈥檚 maritime workforce.

SKILLED WORKERS ON B.C.鈥檚 WATERFRONT
B.C.鈥檚 waterfront workforce is composed of more than 7,400 skilled and trained longshore workers, tradespeople and forepersons who are members of International Longshore and Warehouse Union Canada. BCMEA and its members work together with ILWU to support the safety and wellbeing of the shared workforce.
