bcmea supporting community local relationships

Empowered by our members, the BCMEA is proud to give back to organizations and programs that strengthen the social fabric of waterfront communities. We believe that supporting the health and well-being of the waterfront workforce means investing in the communities they call home.

BCMEA’s Pillars of Giving

The BCMEA’s charitable giving is focused on helping to keeping British Columbians active, diverse voices uplifted, mental health and wellbeing services accessible and ensuring the most vulnerable receive critical supports.

From amateur swim meets to cultural organizations and addiction recovery programs, the BCMEA is dedicated to being a meaningful community partner and doing our part to foster healthy and inclusive communities across B.C.

    Uplifting Inclusivity

Inclusive programs that uplift diverse voices are at the heart of strong communities. The BCMEA is dedicated to investing in organizations that foster inclusivity, empower women and honour culturally diverse backgrounds.

    Investing in Health & Wellbeing

Ensuring critical support is there when needed is important to the BCMEA. Whether it’s participating in the Kidney Foundation Living Donor Centre of Excellence program or investing in addictions recovery services at Trinity Men’s Recovery House, we are focused on supporting health services coastal communities rely on.

    Supporting Vulnerable Populations

Vulnerable populations exist everywhere, with no exception to waterfront communities. We are proud to partner with organizations that empower those in need – like addressing food insecurity, developing employment programs, or providing mental health support for those most challenged.
